The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (or DDA,) states that any business or organisation providing a product or service to the General Public must ''provide auxiliary aids and services (such as

installing an audio induction loop) to enable or make it easier to use a service '' whenever

information is verbally required.

Full implementation of the DDA

legislation must be completed by

October 2004.

Also, there is a SENDA directive

of 2001, relating to accessibility

of disabled students in education,

which has similar requirements.

Hearing aid users will benefit from an Audio Induction Loop system, by receiving greater clarity of speech, and reduced levels of background noise.

Nextronic can offer system solutions and advice to ensure that installation comply with the legal

requirements in this regard. We can advise on

system sizing, installation requirements and

feasibility. We can offer full pre-installation or

post-installation surveys or the site, to verify

compliance with EN60118-4.
